MARCEL KITTEL’S HEAD BROKEN BY ASTANA CYCLIST

Marcel Kittel recently had his head broken during the Tour of Dubai races after receiving a blow from an Astana cyclist that left him bleeding seriously.

This incidence perpetrated in the heat of the Tour of Dubai stage 3 raceby an Astana cyclist, the team being directed by Alexander Vinokourov, led to the cyclist by name Andriy Grivko being disqualified.

Kittel who was in the lead in the races, made a statement on the incident.

"I was beaten by Andriy Grivko of Astana, so I had blood on my face, not because I had fallen. My team worked well in the Tour but I was not in the right position and maybe my head was elsewhere too”

The German had to keep his head from bleeding too much during the races. However, the cause of the altercation is yet unknown.

Marcel Kittel and Quick-Step Floors received an apology from the Astana Pro Team for the unwarranted behavior of Andrei Grivko. The Ukrainian cyclist, Grivko was also expelled by the organization and nothing has been heard from him yet pertaining to the incidence.
